Best 3.5mm Headset

Go to solution Solved by NannerBeans,

Because, products such as the R9 290 are on sale so often that instead of buying at the regular price of around $300, you can easily get it at around $250 or even less.

It is much rarer for headphones to go on sale. They're not like gpus. Most of them never go on sale. Either way there is nothing good in the $30 to $50 range for headsets as the only good headset is the Kingston hyperx. It goes to $60 sometimes on amazon so check frequently. If you want to spend less your only choice is headphones.

Long time Linus fan with too many different forums to keep track of LTT's.

I've owned a pair of 201s for a while. Truly an excellent pair of headphones, especially at the price I got them for ($5). But what I want is a headset- the one that also has a mic.

We're supposed to know what future sale prices are going to be... how?

That's because GPUs are easily measurable, so it's easier to produce higher spec version. 3 trillion polygon/sec? Well, we got 4 trillion/sec now, so the 3 trillion/sec version got on sale to make way for the 4 trillion version.

Fair enough, I'll keep an eye out for when a Hyperx Cloud comes on sale, hopefully around the $50-$60 range.
