Game crashes....Help?

I just built a rig for my brother, and i benchmarked DayZ (i know the game is unoptimized but i still get good fps on ultra with my rig.) 

As soon as he gets in game his monitor goes dark and no signal detected? Help?

 

Important specs.

 

i7 4790k at 4.00ghz

 

GTX 970 strix

 

8gb 1866 memory

 

750w psu

 

129gb SSD/ 1TB HDD

Make sure the GPU drivers are up to date. Perform a clean install (check the box). If they're already the latest drivers try rolling back to an older release, just make sure to use the clean install feature.

Try moving the GPU from his rig into your rig.  See if it really is a GPU problem, or if there is something else going on.

If you alt-tab, does the desktop show up?

If so, can you check if the game is somehow treating the nVidia GPU as a monitor-runner and is attempting to run DayZ off the iGPU?

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.
