Silent modular PSU

Go to solution Solved by pomaranc,

EVGA 750G2 is slightly better than corsair RM 750 ;)

I need a power supply for my build, it has to be modular and very silent, my current one is never silent and gets really loud when playing any game, I might have gotten a bad one, but I don't want to go through all the trouble and RMA.

Budget: 100$-130$

Current PSU: XFX 650W

Build:-

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 LGA 1150

HDD: 2x WD Blue 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 7200rpm

SSD: Intel 530 Series 240GB

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX780 Superclocked 3GB

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790k

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz

So what do you guys recommend? ^^

Thanks :)

EVGA 750G2 is slightly better than corsair RM 750 ;)

its actually ALOT BETTER

the RM uses jap caps on the main stuff but cheap chinese and taiwanese caps on the secondayry stuff, while the EVGA used 100% japanese caps

dont go RM plz

Corsair RM 750 seems like a good one, I'm ordering one next week.

Are there any other power supplies around the same price as the RM, 750w with all flat cables you could recommend? I would prefer a flat cabled modular power supply for easier cable management. :P

the EVGA 750 G2 has all flats cables exept the 24 pin mobo connector

o shit wait it doesnt, all of the cables are bundled with sleeving (its pretty nice sleeving BTW) but all the calbes are black, even the 24 pin  but if you want Cable Mod sells kits for that PSU

I can only order from Amazon.com, so it's better if it's available with amazon prime, and the EVGA 750G2 is a bit expensive...how about the 650G1? ^^

the 650 g1 is still a solid choice, not as high qualty as the G2 but totally higher quality than the corsair RM

850G2 is excellent PSU but it is overkill for your PC unless you plan to SLI.

i think 750 is plenty for SLI 780s

G2 PSUs have 0RPM mode, I am not sure if B2 have it but probably not.

and g2 are 80+ gold while the b2 are 80+ bronze, and the G2 cables are all black while the B2 has yellow and red cables
