I'm currently using the keyboard that comes with Cyanogenmod (not bad), but wondering what is considered the best.

Money is not the issue, feel free to recommend paid keyboards.

Please post the name, and why it's good.

Also just a quick thing: I don't like anything that has to do with swiping to type.

Thanks!

Edit: I don't like both Swiftkey and Google Keyboard. So far Cyanogenmod's ASOP keyboard is the best I've used.

Also I've tried Swype before, meh.

Google Keyboard and Swiftkey are the only ones I personally use.

Google keyboard is the one that comes with Cyanogen right?

I use and recommend Swiftkey. You can turn off Flow which is the swipe function that you don't like to use.

I'm going to try swiftkey right now.

Google Keyboard FTW.

Also, swipe typing is so much better than pecking.

technically it's the AOSP keyboard, which is just the google keyboard that came with the OS. I don't know if you will receive updates with it like the google keyboard however.

What does "ASOP" stand for?

AOSP... Stands for Android Open Source Project. led by Google, they release the source code to anyone who wants to develop their own variation of the Android OS. ie. Samsung's TouchWiz, HTC's SenseUI or the popular 3rd party CyanogenMod etc are based on AOSP builds
