Hello,

I'm deciding on my first self-assembled gaming computer. This is mainly going to be used for playing the latest games (Battlefield, Farcry, Dying Light, etc.). It needs to run the latest titles smoothly and nicely on some good settings in 1080p at least (perhaps going to upgrade monitor later this year). Also I'm aiming for it to be a little future proof. I'm not planning on overclocking or using multiple graphics cards in sli in the near future as I simply do not have the funds for it. I have two options right under here on which I would like to hear your opinions. Please feel free to suggest any other parts or combinations. My budget is 800 euro's, which is around 900 dollars.

I'm kind of preferring the intel cpu, but I could not ignore the eight core amd cpu. Please give me some help on this. Also, I do have a 1tb storage harddrive in my computer which I will be using for this build. The case is something I'm not quite sure of either, but I think the Zalman case may be quite okay for its price.

They are very comparable, but i wouldn't step down to the 290 over the 970. But if it's possible to get a 290x with an 256GB ssd instead of 970 with 120GB ssd, i would take the 290x any day!

It also depends on sales etc. It's not rare to see a sale chipping 30$ of the prices, thus allowing some other alternatives....

When in doubt: C4

Here, I made the build stronger. Don't go with that case, it has no usb 3.0 support. I've included an alternative of my liking, feel free to change it.

Oh, and BTW, my price doesn't include MIR. So it's actually cheaper than yours.
