Your HDD is dying, does it have a lot of bad sectors or does it make clicky noises?

You can check for bad sectors with a free program like Speccy.

This. ^ You can also use http://www.hdtune.com/.

According to Speccy the status of my HDD is good, my laptop is only 1 year old so i think that the chances of my HDD failing are rather slim?

I don't think i hear any clicks.

Have you expanded the S.M.A.R.T status? What number of reallocated sectors does it say? If it's 0 then your HDD is just slow, I suggest you reinstall Windows.

The numbers of reallocated sectors is 0, but few weeks ago the right click menu appeared instanly, the delay is only happening since the past few weeks.

If it's a mechanical hard drive, try defragging it and clean it up with programs like CCleaner, ADW Cleaner and ComboFix.

I've just defragged it and cleaned it with CCleaner, but no results.

Or you have too many context menu items that you can remove with CCleaner.

Also maybe your laptop is in bad condition overal.

The only extra context menu items are from VLC player,WinRAR and two virus scanners. This software was installed a few days after i purchased the laptop.
