Hi, so I'm thinking of upgrading... Here are my specs:

intel i5 2500k

msi r6950 Twin Frozr III PE/OC

Asus P8P67

20GB 1333mhz ram

Windows 7 64bit

24" monitor

Here's the upgrade I'm planning. Budget is 625 euro.

intel i5 2500k

msi r6950 Twin Frozr III PE/OC -> sell for 90 euro ->r9 290 + overclock = (625 + 90) - 210 = 405

Asus P8P67

20GB 1333mhz ram

Windows 7 64bit

24" monitor -> + A 28" 4K masterpanel@1440p = 405 - 425 = -20euro.....

Then in a year or so...

intel i5 2500k

Gigabyte 290 OC -> add one = x2 Gigabyte 290 OC

Asus P8P67 -> Some card that supports PCiE Express 3

20GB 1333mhz ram

Windows 7 64bit

24" + 28" monitor@4K

Overall will cost me about 625+(260+120)= 1005 euro.
Thoughts?

Idk if the 2500k will bottleneck the 2x 290s but If it won't then I think you're good!

Sounds like a good plan. But if you only plan to play at 1440p for a year or so, why not just keep your current monitor, and in a year get the 4k monitor + second 290. Or one 290x now, no monitor, and a second 290x + monitor in a year. By then you'll get cheaper monitors, or better ones at the same price.
