I've recently decided to upgrade my pc as it's very outdated. I've poked around a few forums and reddit but struggling to get some useful advice so I thought I would come here as people seem to know what they are talking about. I have a rough budget of £1,200 but won't be getting this computer for 3-4 months. Would it be better to wait until then due to newer products, cheaper products and so forth?

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690k 3.5Ghz

CPU Cooler: Phanteks PH-TC14PE

Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws x Series DDR3 2x4GB

Storage: Samsung 840 Evo 120GB SSD

Video card: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming 4GB

Case: Cooler Master Storm Stryker

Power Supply: EVGA SuperNova 650W

Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE

Operating System: Windows 8.1 64 bit

Case Fans: Corsair  Air Series AF120-LED Fans x4

Monitor: BenQ GL2450HM 24.0" 60Hz x2

Peripherals: Cooler Master CM Storm Devastor Gaming Bundle

After using pcpartpicker it comes out to just shy of £1,300. I am fairly stubborn and have my eyes set on this build and thus not really wanting to affect performance or aesthetics. I'm looking to overclock hence the reasoning behind some parts such as the cooler, cpu and extra fans. I'm also really wanting a white and red theme hence the case and fans. Would it be possible to get something like this within budget without affecting performance and overclocking ability and if possible the aesthetics. Like I said I don't plan to get this for 3-4 months.

This looks great IMO. I can't see anything to change on it really.

No offence but this doesn't really answer my questions.

Well, I'm kinda confused as to what more you want me to tell you. If you dont want to compromise performance, and you really want to stick with this build, the only thing I can really tell you is to save some more money for the "case mods" and aesthetic enhancements.

I guess maybe the only advice I can give is maybe wait for the 390x to be released. Hopefully then gpu prices will drop and you can get a gpu for cheaper.

I'd get a Noctua NH-D15 for that range.

Thanks for the suggestion, I've looked at it myself but the fans are kind of ugly. Would the cooler I have chosen be good enough?

How long away is that though? I'm guessing there isn't much money to be saved unless I wait or stop being so stubborn and compromise on the aesthetics or performance.
