You don't...? It updates with new content posted on forums. If you don't like it, don't use it.

that's a really stupid reply. don't you check YOUR new content area so you can see the advancement of the threads you're part of?  Mine happens to have a ton of stuff I'd like to clean out. I'd also like to clean out a couple i don't want to follow anymore. And there's a thread or two that have been blocked by the admin that I would like to eliminate so I don't have to look at the "bold" print" thread I can't reply to.

View new content shows new content for every thread, not just ones you follow. 

To remove yourself from threads you're following click on your name and you'll see a link to "Content I follow". That's your personal manager to change if you want to be notified when someone posts a reply to threads you're following.

Ummm, no? If I like thread, I follow it. Otherwise I just wait till someone quotes or tags me for fast reply and check other subsections and threads pretty much daily.

 

As for the real answer @LasersPewPew gave, you should see why I had trouble getting what you meant. Now can you tell me how was my reply "stupid"?
