HELP!

Go to solution Solved by Satlen,

Here is a generic installation key for the installer: XKY4K-2NRWR-8F6P2-448RF-CRYQH

Once you have 8 installed, then you can upgrade to 8.1 and use your own key.

Or you can download the 8.1 iso from the side bar at reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/

Explain, please. Btw this is a brand new system

Which windows did you buy?

You can download the official windows and put it on a DVD (for a boot disk) and use that along with the key you bought.

You will need another computer though and the download takes some time.

System: Thinkpad T460

I bought a windows 8.1 pro retail key and my friend let me borrow a windows 8 pro disk
