I've just upgraded my motherboard and CPU, I have a Asus p8z77 and a 2500k. I managed to get into the BIOS, but it already says the 2204 BIOS is installed but I haven't installed any myself. Also, should I use the disc to install the chip set drivers? Thank you

Edit: I'm planning to do a fresh install too as I had a amd CPU before.

In the case of mobo drivers, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I've heard of too many dead boards from updating the bios.

I don't think I'll need to update the BIOS cause the current one is fairly new, I'll use the disc to install the chip set drivers though

Why would you use disc? Website has always newer versions than what disc has. Only reason to do it disc way, would be that you can't access internet (in which case you can use another PC and USB or update afterwards) or the download site is down.

As for BIOS update, seems that you got lucky with board. Sometimes BIOS can be 1-2 years old since the thing has been sitting in warehouse.
