Cannot connect my microphone?

Hi!

 

I have the Razer Electra which has an in-line mic. I tried plugging in the wire to all the audio jacks holes (sorry for my english if I didn't use the right word) and selecting multiple choices at the realted hd audio manager pop-up. Nothing worked. I have the Gigabyte ga-h81M-ds2 (not sure which revision it is tho).

What can I try? Or does my hardware just not support it?

You need a splitter, I actually broke my old Electras a couple weeks ago...

I think that too. So the problem is the hardware? I thought that desktop mobos support in-line mics

They don't... You'll have to get a cheap splitter. :/
