PSU question

I currently have a VS550w but after I upgraded my cpu, my PC has been restarting as soon as cpu usage hits over 85%. Now I have the option of getting a cheap 650w but I also came across supplementary PSUs sold for a lot cheaper. So my question is: Does the supplementary PSU increase my wattage?
