iTunes Quickplay buttons

Try updating Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center?

So i've had my iTunes library for god knows how long, a seriously long time. And for a number of years I've been able to use my keyboards media keys to play/pause/rewind/skip etc etc. 

 

Despite still having the ability to turn up/down, the media buttons now do not work with iTunes. I can't tell if this is an iTunes problem or a keyboard problem. So I tried using my mouse's marco keys to do the same thing. It's all set-up in the macro manager, with no luck. Only the volume works (so that'll be windows responding to the macro, but iTunes not)....

 

can anyone help? i dont know how many people have the same problem and how(if) they have overcame it, but any advise would be much appreciated.

 

keyboard: micorosft wireless keyboard 3000 v2.0

mouse: roccat kova [+]
