1 memory kit or 2 kits?

Go to solution Solved by Sintezza,

you can buy 2 kits of 4 GB ram yes totaly not problem

As long as timings frequancies and voltages are the same you should be totaly fine.

For example if you like Asrock X99X killer board which is black and red, you would probably also like to have the G.skill ripjaws black 2x4GB and red 2x4Gb modules. Totaly no problem to mix that up.

Just make sure that timings ram, and voltages are the same, you will be totaly fine.

Ok so I was just wondering cause I'm still a a little confused. So I'm getting my new pc soon and I wanted to make sure I could do this. So I want 4 sticks, BUT the problem is I can't find the color/ brand of memory i want in 4 sticks. However I see 2 stick kits. Now can I buy 2 kits of 2x4gb memory or am I required to buy 1 kit of 4x4gb memory for it to work correctly? Anyways thank you

Ok sweet. And I was just planning on buying 2 kits of the same exact memory, I just couldn't find 1 kit of 4x4gb corsair red memory, It was actually cheaper than 1 kit of 4x4gb of the same exact ram anyways

lol about G.skill ripjaws black and red, the only diffrence is basicly just the color of the heatspreader lol.

Underneath that fancy heatspreader just sticks the same ram module.
