I've never owned a laptop but I want one now and I'm on a budget. I don't need it to be powerful but I don't want it to be slow either.

I need solid state storage but as long as i can upgrade the HDD to an SSD thats fine. I also want at least 8GB of ram and preferably an IPS and full HD display.

I just don't know where to start when it comes to buying a laptop for myself.

At that price, you're going to have to give up on something...

I used one once and as far as I'm concerned they are the best laptops you can get but they are expensive as hell.

I mean that to get one with an FHD screen, a refurbished one will start around 550. New ones are 600 on up... And some of those I wouldn't recommend.

Try everything he's asked for except upgrade-ability of RAM/HDD.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

THE INFORMATION GUIDES: SLI INFORMATION || vRAM INFORMATION || MOBILE i7 CPU INFORMATION || Maybe more someday
