Hi,

I dual-boot my computer (W7/Mint) but on Mint the resolution is limited to 1024*7xx whereas my monitor is a BenQ RL2455HM 1920*1080...

I've tried this:

http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/66971/how-do-i-set-my-monitor-to-widescreen-mode-in-mint-when-it-doesnt-recognize-wid

http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=64399

But Mint doesn't recognize my monitor and therefore I'm stuck at that lower resolution...

My GPU is an Nvidia 970 (Asus Strix), but I didn't manage to install the driver on Mint either.

Thanks :)

I had an issue around the same lines with ubuntu. Get the "nvidia x server settings" if they exist for mint, which they should really...

If you still need help after that let me know!

Edit: Xrandr doesn't work with X server settings, it took me 1 hour of research to figure that one out, but then again I'm pretty stupid sometimes...
