Crashing after program/driver installation

Go to solution Solved by HappyChubbs,

It's fixed, I don't know why, but it's fixed.

All I did was not connect my Blu-Ray drive when moving PC cases.  I have no clue why the drive would effect software from installing.

If someone might have a clue on why this happened, please enlighten me.

Marking this solved...

Hi everyone,

I have a very strange issue with my computer right now.

Here are the specs.  Not going to much into detail since I really don't think they are the issue.

i7-3770K

Asus Maximus V Extreme

2x GTX 680

Corsair Vengeance

2x Samsung 840 Evo

3x WD Black

Samsung Blu-Ray Drive

Windows 8.1

So my issue is that whenever I install a program or driver, my computer crashes.  No blue screen or error dialog on reboot saying Windows has recovered from a system error.  This does not happen with all applications.  Right now it occurs when I install, Samsung Magician, LG phone drivers, and Logitech Gaming Software.  The install for Samsung runs fine, but when it starts for the first time the PC crashes.  I had to race the clock to uninstall it before the service started on reboot.  Other programs install fine.

I looked in the Application section of Event Viewer and saw a few errors.  System errors only show unexpected shutdown, I wonder why... ... ...

First:  Event 513 Error-Capi2

Followed these steps:

https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/14abbc90-cab5-4fc6-953a-96c1929f9a7b/eventid-513-capi2-error

http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/203856-event-513-capi-2-cannot-fix-this-error-to-save-my-life

Result: Error gone

Problem still persisted.

Second:  Event 1000 Application

Solution:  Uninstalled Intel Graphics Drivers

Result:  Error Gone

I managed to rid myself of errors and the problem still happens.  LGS and Samsung still crash my computer when installing or starting.

Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction?  I am really close to starting fresh and installing Windows again.

Also, if more information is needed, feel free to ask.

Thank You.

I just had to say this. How on earth did you manage to install a Socket 1155 Processor on a Socket 2011-3 motherboard?!?!

but anyway, when did this issue start happening and does it only happen when you install new drivers/programs? By Crashing I am going to assume it just restarts or does it shut down?

Sorry I meant Maximus V Extreme.

This first started awhile ago, maybe 6 months with LGS.  It's not all drivers/programs.  I have installed plenty since then, just a select few and I know they are compatible with 8.1.
