When gaming (happens in all games) i see the core clock dropping down every few minutes for 10 seconds with msi afterburner.

In battlefield 4 it would go from 1030mhz to 750mhz and back up for 10 seconds, in league of legends 800mhz to 600mhz.

It gives me big fps drops and i don't know what is causing this.

The temperature of my CPU when playing league of legends is around 55C.

My GPU around 60C.

It started after a few months after installing my GPU (R9 290X).

I previously had an R9 280X but it was faulty.

I don't know if it's a GPU issue.

I would say change driver and see what happens.

Alternatively you can set profiles with specific clock speeds so it may force the card to run at those.

yeah change driver

I changed catalyst from 14.12 to 14.9 but it still occured.

Well then I am confused I dunno

Edit: Maybe your power supply isn't powerful enough that would be my second guess even though it's probably not it

this is most likely cooling. Classic symptoms of thermal throttling. Try forcing the fans up in speed.

Normally the fans are around 25%, i had set it to 50% but it still happened.
