I/O Shield

I just bought a used A78m-e and it came without and IO shield! Uhoh! I googled some and found this site:

but it's horribly slow on my end and the search doesn't find anything for this model, but there are 33 pages of shields.

 

Can anyone help me find a shield replacement for this board on here (or anywhere else)?

Ask the seller, contact ASUS or just live without it like I did for 6 months on my P8Z77-V

I couldn't find one on that site, but I would email Asus support to see if you can buy one directly from them. Also, you can use a motherboard without the I/O shield.

I would contact the person you brought it from and ask for it.

They do not have it.

 

Just a suggestion. You could always call up ASUS's part department and ask to buy just an io shield from them.

Also, you can use a motherboard without the I/O shield.

I know! But this rig isn't for me and I don't want some silly ugly thing like that being an eyesore on a gift.

That should fit... the rear I/O layout is identical (other than usb3.0 but that makes no difference )
