Hey, I am looking to build a new computer.  I am fairly new to this but have done a bit of research and want a few more opinions.  I live in Australia and the site I want to buy from is MSY due to it having much lower shipping costs to my area then PCCG.  My budget is around $1400 which includes a good quality monitor and semi-decent keyboard.  I'm trying to find a few ways to cut a few dollars of my build so far.  My main use will be gaming and i plan to try and overclock the cpu and gpu.

Cpu:  Intel i5 4690k $314

cpu cooler:  Cooler master 612p $49

Gpu: Sapphire r9 280 $259

Motherboard:  AsRock z97 pro 4 $149

Memory: Kingston HyperX fury 2x4GB $94

PSU: Antec HCG 620w $105

HDD: WD blue 1TB $69

Case: Corsair 230T $99

Monitor: AOC IPS 23" I2367FH $218

Keyboard: Gigabyte GK Force K3 $22

Total: $1378 before shipping

Also I need a copy of Windows for as cheap as possible.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

212 is out of stock, what high quality Psu would be cheap enough to fit an ssd?

I've heard the Raijintek air coolers aren't too bad and are at a similar price point to the evo.  You could step up to the X but that's about $15 more than the Evo which seems to be discontinued or unavailable in most Australian stores.

If you're trying to save money on the PSU just get a semi modular bronze one from a reputable brand, maybe a Seasonic or a Corsair CX series or something

What about the hyper t4?

Apparently it's only effective at stock clock speeds and doesn't perform well with OC'd CPUs.  The heatsink design is quite different to the 212 series.  You'd be better off with the 212X or an entirely different cooler since you're going for the 4690K.

What would be the difference in performance if I went for an amd 6300 or 8320 instead?

I have no idea, but I'd hazard a guess at saying you'd need an even more powerful cooler for an AMD chip.  But I could be entirely wrong - I don't know a whole lot about AMD CPUs.

I could save over $100 dollars with an 8320

You could.  Personally if trying to cut costs, I'd just go with an i5 that's cheaper and spec'd a little lower than the 4690K.
