Hello guys, im so new to this forums, hope u guys help me out a bit, really appreciated for any of your help  :D

1. So this is my pc build ~4 years old  :P

- CPU:   AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
- Mainboard:   ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3

- GPU:   ASUS EAH6850 DCU 1GB
- PSU:   FSP Blue Storm Pro 500W
- RAM:  8GB total: 2 sticks of GSkill 4GB DDR3 1333MHz

- HDD: 500GB WD + 2TB WD Green (+ 1 3,5 usb external hard drive)

- Case: Coolermaster 690 II Advance

- Cooling option: none, just case fan and default cooling

Monitor, mouse and keyboard i upgrade few month ago so it's should be fine for me: Dell U2312HM and mitsumi key/cobra mouse (planning go mech in the future)

2. Bud and location

~250 USD (but can be up to 400 USD in few month if waiting for sure)

location is not much problem cuz i can be able to get nearly lowest price (and other reason is i want to hide  )

3. Aim

- 2D Design for my works, encoding video

- Game experience: Dota 2 most of the times, but i usually getting new games releashed to play if they r good

- Can go 24/24 for torrent seeding, stable machine

- and big PROBLEM NEED TO BE SOLVE FIRST : SILENCE (or nearly)

4. Let talk about what im dealing with now: :(

- TOO NOISY: i have experienced this for too long, and just for now, i have a chance to take care of it

After digging in, i've figuring that is about my cpu:

* IDLE: This is when i turn on the machine after 20 min for some background app fully loaded

 2AI8v9I.png

*NORMAL WORKING: about ~18-20 tabs of Chrome (1 tab music, few facebook tabs, utube tabs, and few "many images" tabs), utorrent seeding, steam and some etc app like snagit, avira,...(not much)

V3sbOot.png

HIGH LOAD:   well i dont have any here yet cuz my installed apps is just adobe cs, maya and steam games like dota 2 so cant have fully loaded image, but last time i played rally heavy games like crysis 3 normal setting or dragon age, my cpu can go up ~ 85*C (and the stock fan is just killing my ears)

- WEAK TO CATCHING UP NEW UPCOMING GAMES: for sure, my spec is absolutly cant handle upcoming games (even releashed games recently)

but of course, this is optional, replacing a new gpu for new high setting games is always cost much more then normal bud

5.  WHAT I HAVE DONE:

- open the case, use new thermal on cpu -> drop about 1~2 *C

- clean up dust n etc -> just make it look clean, no drop in temperature

- reading and watching so much in the internet and find out linustech youtube channel

So that all, hope can someones help me with some solutions

@Neromon

I would recommend a bigger and more quiet CPU cooler aswell as a new GPU. Your CPU i still okay, a GTX 960 would be a good match for it. Make sure to get a silent model like the Gigabyte g1.

For the CPU cooler I'd suggest a bequiet shadow rock 2 or Dark Rock 3. or a noctua NH U14S.

Your system should get a major upgrade sooner or later but i think your 1055T is still okay for the most part. ;)

who cares...

I think you just need a cooler for the cpu and a new graphics card, and then your next upgrade could be a new cpu.

I would get a 970 or a r9 290x and just save up though, and prices will drop once the r9 300 series comes out

I was like if hes getting rid of that cpu I want it... my atholon 64 x2 is just so sad:(

Thanks. :)

If OP can spend the little extra for the  970, then yes, go for it. :D I just recommended the 960 because of the given budget. ;)

yeah but he should get the cpu cooler first. Then save up for a 970 or r9 290x or r9 380 because it might be a rebrand, and the r9 300 series should be relised by the time he gets the money and then prices will drop on nvidias side and the r9 200 series side.

Jupp, that's an idea, depending on how urgent it is for the OP

my budget is always can be extendable (sell old one ? yeahh  ) i just dont wanna spending too much on this (my girlfriend lol  )

i saw linus review 960 and read comment, well, its good, but what i always confuse that is 128bits good or not  :(
and of course 970 is so damn awesome, i will consider that option (but problem might be in my psu for that)

so many people recommended me nocture NH U14S, but i will have upgrade my pc so much after 1 more year, i will consider a new case like Fratal Node 804, can that nocture fit in :(
how about AIO cooling options, i have digged it but, its seem confusing to mee ehhh

oh he has a 6580 or is it a 6850/70 i cant find a 6580 anywhere; anyways, I read that as a gtx 680

a NH U14S should fit

but an AIO would be better just make sure it has a copper baseplate(most do now) but with the case you have now and the case get you could get a single 120 or single 140

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103195

but the 140 i think there might be a comparability issue with the node 804 so I think you should just get a single 120.

Hmm... I'd say either one of the cards is rgeat for 1080P. The 970 would obviously be a bit better and it's still a good price/performance.

cooler wise you could also go with a Noctua NH-C14. it's expensive but lower. An AIO is ofc an alternative.

who cares...

Well, im going to get MSI GTX 960 or the Inno3D GTX 960, but i'm also have i choice in my locations with SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 OC and GIGABYTE™ GV-R928XOC-3GD in ~ 220 Dollar and plus a gift Corsair VS550 and even better with GIGABYTE GV-R929OC-4GD with same gift Corsair VS550 in ~277 Dollar (but not to get 290x due to my psu cant handle it)

so this is really going to kill my decision:

the performance, of course 280s stronger, but in return, they'r nearly out of date since AMD is going to releash 300 series and even if PSU BLUE STORM cant handle it, i have upgrade option to VS550

speak about gtx960, they weaker, but cooler, less power consumption, and yet not out of date

so whate should i do :(
