I need some help with an old macbook
I need to make a boot disk for os x lion but i dont have acces to a mac and the mac that i need to reinstall has no os on it and the internet recovery doesnt work

I have the .dmg file with the os i think which i cant include unfortunaly :(

I cant make a cd so i need a boot usb dive and i need to make it in windows

and one more thing i cant get the select boot drive to work not even the internal hard drives show up in the menu

im trying the transmac option first and if that doesnt work ill try the macdrive way

 

now when i write the disk immage to the usb disk i just need to plug it into the mac and reboot while holding option and select it?

That's how it should work.

Yup!

 

Make sure to format the flash drive before you restore the .dmg
