Sup people,

So my pc has been a bitch the last couple weeks.

here's what happend:

- Press Power button

-> either booting directly

-> or doing nothing for 10 secs then booting

-> or doing nothing at all

I could live with that but yesterday it just f*cked shit up completely

- Power button

-> NOTHING happens

-> try again 200 times, then eventually it starts

-> "Bios error"

-> changing or kinda doing a new bios

-> booting fine

BUT THEN:

-> Steam doesnt start anymore and rebooting is kinda random. (right now not starting at all)

I tried without GPU, different RAM combinations, taking out battery and basically taking out everything else.

Temps are fine.

Halp pleaz :/

maybe i'll get a new one... really having massive troubles right now

UPDATE:

Shit is about to get real.

At first i couldn't start steam anymore (which i still can't, already reinstalled/renamed that .blob everyone in the steamforums is talking about),

but now the "Shockwave-Flash plugin" dies every few minutes in chrome.

Also starting games from the steamapps folder will just open a .exe in task manager but that's it.

Steam also has the bootstrapper thing open in Taskmanager but nothing else is happening.

Could be your os drive acting up, my ssd started to go ape shit crazy and windows became autistic

My 840 evo is one year old and doesnt really do too much work, should be fine.

But what would cause my bios to constantly die?

Doesn't hurt to check the health of your 840 EVO using the samsung tools.

Your bios dying could be because your board is failing and the random restarts could be down to your PSU failing as well. Why don't you see if you could try someone else's PSU etc and see if you can isolate the problem.

Setup: i5 4670k @ 4.2 Ghz, Corsair H100i Cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB Ram @ 1600 Mhz, MSI Z87-GD65 Motherboard, Corsair GS700 2013 edition PSU, MSI GTX 770 Lightning, Samsung EVO 120 SSD + 2TB&1TB Seagate Barracudas, BenQ XL2411T Monitor, Sennheiser HD 598 Headphones + AntLion ModMic 4.0

I still can't check the evo but last time i did (Couple weeks ago) it was fine.

I'll order a new psu today because i don't have anything else to try it with. If it doesnt work i'll get a board+cpu
