MSI GTX 970 good for rendering?

paired with an i7-4790k, would the GTX 970 be alright for rendering 720p 30fps in sony vegas?

 

ive heard some GPU's have special 'rendering abilities' and id like to know if the 970 has that

 

alsooooo do the 970 and 4790k play nice so to speak? im going to be water cooling and SLIGHTLY overclocking both.

Something with cuda like from nvidia will work great so im guessing the 970 would work just fine!

If you use editing software that supports CUDA then yeah.
