Ok so i was wondering if by any chance it was in any way legal for me to go onto kickstarter and ask for money to fund me buying a PC. Now i am building a PC soon but i was wondering if it is legal to just ask them to help fund me as i am pretty young being 16, however i did not want to get into any trouble with any legal violations. Now i realize that kickstarter is a website that is used to start companies but i was just wondering if i was able to do this? Anyways thank you

No one will donate to that, or even come across your page most likely. No harm in trying though.

Yea thats kinda what i was thinking. However i was thinking about posting something as well saying that i would pay them back when i can or something like that

That wouldn't work mate, honestly people wouldn't donate to it even if you offered to pay them back. You not having enough money to build a new computer won't be a good enough reason for someone to donate money to you.

I tried doing something similar after being sold a dodgy laptop on eBay that wasn't as they described but eBay wouldn't help me, and i got no where with that.

Ok so for all of you wondering i was actually not going to go through with it so please dont think im some lazy kid as i have actually been waiting 3 years for my PC which i HAVENT ordered yet, that is just on there because those are the parts i am 100% going to order, and also i was going to obtain these funds from kickstarter as a little extra money for my friends builds as they are my best friends however they cant exactly afford them. But please again, dont think im just some lazy kid who doesnt wanna work for his PC. Because the real situation is that im ordering my PC through my parents and than paying them back in a few years. But this question was really for my friends builds.

How much money do they have? You can build a low-end gaming rig for 150 if you try

Not very much, however i was just going to build them a decent one for around 600-700 for 2 of my friends. Also i would have to pay back my parents for my pc as well which is around $1,500+
