I would get the 290 Vapor-X. You will have similar performance, but it will be VERY QUIET. The Tri-X already gets kinda loud with the 290X.

And since cooling capabilities are great witht he Vapor-X, you can overclock, keep goo thermals and reach 290X performance if you really need to.
Also the Vapor-X cooler looks much better imho.

Can confirm. I have both the Vapor-X and the Tri-X/Toxic editions of the 280x. Vapor-X remains stupidly cold and quiet whilst my Toxic sounds like a vacuum cleaner.
