Im gonna bye a new pc now becuse the one i am sitting on right now is around 5 years old and wasent anything special when i bought it.

My budget is roughly 1300€, ~2000$. Dont know the what the pounds at this moment. :)

Right now i am thinking of buying this one \/

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 7 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card
Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 750W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Should i change the 980 to a SLI 970?
Should i buy a 4k monitior instead of the triple Asus 24"?

Change anything else?

FAQ
1. Overclock?
YES!
2. Resolution?
Right now im on a single 1920x1080 but am gonna buy 3 Asus 24" LED VN247H wich is 1920x1080 once i got my new setup ready.
3. Games?
Well right now im playing alot of Dayz standalone but sometimes i go back to Skyrim and Mincraft with friends. Am kind of restraind right now with my setup and thats why i cant play the latest games.

Thank full for all the answers, Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeers :)

OK, the 980 is HEAVILY overpriced. I would say a 295x2 would be better for your money, but dont qoute me on that, SLI 970 wont be good on triple 1080p screen. As some games already exceed its 3.5 gig "speed" at 1080p

Lets all ripperoni in pepperoni

-Says 980 is overpriced, recommends more expensive graphics card that is only slightly better-, I have nothing against the 295x2, but I feel like its not very price efficient.

It's not slightly better. Is far far better. Like 35-40% faster

Hi, Thanks for the fast answer! U got a benchmark test on it?

One of my buds told me to wait until the Titans comes out but i feel like they will be priced at least 900$ wich is a hole lot more!

What VRAM does the 295 have, At work and dont really got the time to check it up!

Thanks!

1. The monitors depend. You have to make the choice if you want a single high res screen, or triple normal res screens.

2. The R95x2 has 8GB.

I'm not going to recommend a specific card. Take a look at the benchmarks.

i7 4790k | GTX 970 | 16GB

That's all you need to know. It's a beast.

You can estimate it from the numbers from 970 to 970 SLI ( Which is about 18% ) so 980 SLI will be at 118% and 290 Crossfire will be 104 %

... Life is a game and the checkpoints are your birthday , you will face challenges where you may not get rewarded afterwords but those are the challenges that help you improve yourself . Always live for tomorrow because you may never know when your game will be over ... I'm totally not going insane in anyway , shape or form ... I just have broken English and an open mind ...

If your budget allows it, I like the single 980 over the 970s or the 295x2.  Sure you pay a little more regarding price/performance but a 750W PSU will run two of them and it has 4 GB of usable RAM.  The 295x2 has two sets of 4GB of VRAM, they are not shared.

I know! The only thing is that i cant really max out games with it in the future. Dual 980 any one got a bench mark of that? That should me enough for it

SLI like cards only 3x980's or 3x970's if you wanted to go with 3 gpus cannot mix and match

So it would just be useless? Not possible to use the 970 for standars stuff like web and stuff and then the 980s for the game?

cant i use it to stream with?

Hardware is always catching up to software, so even if you grab 5 GTX 980s and overclock a 5960X to 6 GHz., you will still come across some game that wants more.

Don't game with a 50" screen at 3840x2160 (60Hz), game with a 30" screen at 2560x1440 with a 144Hz refresh rate.  New panels are coming out soon:  IPS, 1440p, 144Hz.

If you really want to spend more, jumpt to the X99 platform to make use of the dual GPU setup better (more PCI-E lanes)...  5930K ($550).
