I have optimum. Verizon internet tends to go down alot, and this "offer" you got from Verizon, probably only lasts 2 years, and then either changes or goes up in price. Read the fine print

The offer does last 2 years. Optimum can be slow sometimes though. How about you?

my optimum is usually pretty constant speeds. about once a month they throttle me down by about 5 mbs and I complain on their twitter page and they fix it

Wow, 2 years!?
Here any type of "too good to be true" offers only last between 3 to 6 months.

If the 2 year deal is better than what you have, and you can then Cancel the service when the 2 years are done so you can go back with the cheaper service, go for it.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Bazzite

But here is the deal, Optimum is not cheaper. I'm not sure if I should switch to Verizon. I was thinking about Ethernet.

did you buy optimum ultra 50, it's 5$ more/month than the base price.

i'm not sure, but I know i have no caps/throttles/etc. benefits of living in a big city: internet is fast and cheap.

in a bumblefuck rural farm you pay 60-70$ for 2mbit down/0.5mbit up, poor people lOL

I wouldn't call 30/month for average of 5-15/1 fast & cheap considering other services like google fiber, currently I have verizon internet (non fios) dsl?
