I just got a new Monitor (LG 27MP65) 27" 1080p

After some time i noticed a wired scaling on twitch which was different on my old (oooold) Monitor (BqnQ GL2240 21,5" 1080p)

On the new one and the old one i got a realy wired scaling. With black bars. (sceenshot). Fullscreen is completly normal (theater mode has black bars as well)

Why? Can i fix it? WATCHING STREAMS!!!

PS: Dont hate me for LoL :D

You are playing LoL. I refuse to help you.

So what are you streaming with, Xsplit? OBS?

If either of those, set your aspect ratio to 16:9. Twitch doesn't like other aspect ratios. What is the aspect ratio of your new monitor?

Do "fit to screen" I believe its called. I had this when recording on OSB. Run stream in preview and right click on your preview. There should be that option.

Can't give u exact directions since I'm at work :'(

Okay. Are all streams like this? Because streams look fine to me. What's the aspect ratio of your new monitor? Does it happen in full screen? Does it still happen if you bring back the left and right menu?

16:9

Fullscreen is normal. If I bring both menus back its normal. (but small). And it was normal before the new Monitor O.o

Oh, does it do even on "Source" quality ?

I have 2 monitors as well, but I never watch in full screen because I like to see chat.

Have u tried to maximaze the browser window instead if going full screen ? Also try to hide chat (little arrow on with top rught next to chat).

Is the monitor your are using for twitch running in native resolution ?

Can't think of anything else.

Those black bars make perfect sense.  The aspect ratio of the stream is 16:9 but your player size is wider than that because you closed the 2 side panels(closer to 21:9).  You didn't make the window any taller, you only made it wider which is why you have black bars.  Can't display something that doesnt exist.

Look at the display resolution in this picture.  Twitch with sidebars on a 1080p panel is 1280x720p, with no sidebars it is 1542x869p(Not a 16:9 resolution)

Then it's behaving normally. The video "box" in twitch is set to fit to the screen that is available horizontally. If you get rid of the side menus and the chat room it fits to the space available. If you don't like this, tell twitch staff. They probably have vertical stretching set to a certain amount based upon your resolution/browser scaling so that content will fit on one screen in a page no matter what. You might be able to trick it by pressing ctrl & + or ctrl & - to change the scaling in your browser.

Like @Aberu said, its normal. There are things you can do to make it look bigger. Either use Theather-mode (click the button next to Bookmark). Or launch stream in popup window (I've been doing this since forever) by clicking icon next to fullscreen.
