Need windows 8 tutorial ...

I decided to give windows 8.1 another chance after refusing to use windows 8. After looking around and have to watch an youtube video on how to close metro apps i'm kind of disappointed.

Can somebody tell me how can i organize things in the start screen? Good old drag and drop to organize is gone....

Since you have it installed can you tell me how the search works? Is it still categorized? I'm looking forward to the smaller tiles.
