What method of water cooling should i use in my pc?

So i want to water cool my cpu in the future but i dont know whether i should build my own loop or get a prebuilt one. I have never made my own loop before but i kind of know how to do it. My cpu is an i5-4670k but im planning on upgrading to an i7-4790k.

if you're only planning on watercooling the CPU, go ahead and get something like a Corsair H100i

 

if you want the ability of expanding and adding a GPU water block, get something like a Swiftech H220-X

 

custom loop water cooling doesn't have a huge advantage over something like the h220-x, but you get to build it yourself and pick out every single component to suit your own needs. It's really an enthusiast-grade thing.

 

 

as a side note, I'd go for a better GPU before upgrading your CPU. a 4670k is great for a gaming rig.

H220X if you're interested in upgrading it in the future, but otherwise something like a kraken x61 or an h100i would do fine.

I've never been a fan on the H100i, its the first iteration of that cooler model and theres just too many problems. I would go AIO personally and I would either choose the Enermax Liqtech 240 (Love the fins on this thing) or something from NZXT and Cooler Master is really good as well.

The H105 has better performance than the H100i and I don't like Corsair Link, so the H100i seems pretty useless to me.
So I would either go for the H105 or 110 or maybe even the new (but expensive) Corsair H110i GT.

A whole water cooling loop is quite expensive and I don't think really worth it until you use more than just one high end GPU.

I agree with this person to a degree. The H100i doesn't perform well and Corsair Link has always proved to be a PITA for me. The H105 is a good cooler from Corsair and the links I posted in post #5 are also some good coolers.

I've chosen the H105 because it looks better in my opinion. It has at least some color options.
