Hey guys, I am having some temp problems. I have HWmonitor and MSI command center, Hwmonitor says my packages temps are jumping around from 60-80c just idling, MSI command center says I am at 40c. I just put a Noctua NF-S12A on my cooler and in the back exhaust on my case. Before I put these fans on I would be around 60-70c says HWmonitor. with a load forget it i hit 100c and I stop the test.. MSI command center says I never go above 56c.

I assume the temps in HWMonitor youre talking about is for your CPU and MSI Command is telling you the GPU temps. Check that your CPU heatsink is on properly and that there is enough thermal paste on it. Your GPU temps sound fine.

When in doubt, re-format.

The MSI command is showing me my CPU temps. And my heatsink has thermal paste the size of a grain of rice and my cooler is firmly tighten down doesn't move at all even with force.

Post a screenshot of hwmonitor (or real temp) and msi command side by side. I do not believe that there would be such a discrepancy.

When in doubt, re-format.

It has to be an error on one of them.

You could download a bunch of others and see if they give a more similar reading

cpu-z

Cam

check what your bios reading says, and go by that one. his is the better thing to do.

Bleigh!  Ever hear of AC series?
