Hey guys.

I'm thinking about building a secondary computer, with bargain deals from EBay and a couple of pre-owned parts. My overall budget is around £120.

This will mainly be a home server build, but will also be doing some web browsing/youtube watching. I might torture it and make it do video rendering - and I don't care if this will be slowish.

Idea 1 (what I have in mind):

CPU: AMD FX-6100 3.3GHz 6-Core OEM/Tray Processor  (Purchased For £0.00)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  (Purchased For £0.00)
Video Card: Asus Radeon HD 6570 1GB Video Card  (Purchased For £0.00)
Case: Zalman Z11 ATX Mid Tower Case  (£30.00)
Total: £85.70
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

What power supply and basic storage should I go for? I can migrate HDDs from my main rig later.
Is this even a good idea?

Sig under construction.

i use an Evga power supply and i have no complaints.

Okay. Another question: Should I increase my budget and invest in a decent 750W or so for my current build (so there's room for upgrading to CF/SLI down the line) and put my current PSU in this build?

that would work out fine depending on how old your current power supply is as they should generally be replaced after 5 to 7 years.

but if this is just a secondary rig i would just go ahead with it. i have my secondary running off of an older Corsair Tx750v2

The words And EBay and Pre-Owned don't go in the same sentence as fun

They do for me. I'm buying parts mainly from eBay and using a couple pre-owned parts...

This build is ridiculous, but should also be fun.
