First PC Build Opinions

Hello all,

 

I am planning a PC build this summer, after my exams, and I have finalised my first gaming PC build. The parts list is as follows:

CPU: AMD FX-6300

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P ATX

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM

Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB Tri-X Toxic

Case: NZXT S340 (Black)

Power Supply: Corsair CX500M 500W

OS: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

 

Yes it is a relatively budget build, but I don't have a great deal of money.

 

What are your thoughts on this for a first time build?

Any other recommendations/adjustments?

 

P.S. Please bare in mind I cannot spend much more than this, £600 at the very maximum!

That is true, but that's what I'm looking for.

In terms of games, predominantly those like BF3/4, Elder Scrolls V/VI, Borderlands 2, ARMA II.

I agree, that was the one thing I had in mind, not to buy until the time and see what happens then; for now, this is my plan

Absolute maximum, £600 with OS.
