Some help needed

Could someone please link me to a emulator to a PS1 and PS2 that will work and quickly explain how it works? I am new to emulators and it seems there is many risks to it?

For PSone, I use ePSXe.

Emulators simulate a console so that the games for the console can be run.

Tried installing that and it had me go around the internet for more files and when i downloaded the file i needed it erased all my bookmarks and now my home screen is this weirdo search engine :p
