But of course, this is not even close to be an issue :) . You could run 4 4K displays if you wanted as long as you don´t try to use them for gaming with the single GPU haha :) .

Intel i7 7820X (delidded) @ 4.9GHz - MSI X299 M7 ACK + EKWB Fullcover Block - G.Skill Trident Z 32GB @ 3466MHz - nVidia Titan Xp + EKWB Fullcover Block @ 2.1GHz - Samsung 960Pro 2x - WDD Blue 2TB - Seasonic 750W Platinum - modded Corsair 600C - Hardtubed Custom Watercooling

Yes. I use one 4K monitor for gaming, one 1440p and one 1080p as browsing and hardware monitors  :). Don´t worry it will not lower your performance.

My wife does it all the time on her dual GTX 660s, triple 1080p setup without any problem -- gaming 1080p in the middle, Netflix on one side monitor, and something else on the other. As I write this she's playing Tomb Raider on her main 1080p panel, watching MASH to her left on one 1080 monitor and has Twitch, mumble and a browser window opened on the other 1080p monitor.

So yeah, you can do that on a 970 without any difficulties.

Wife's build: Amethyst - Ryzen 9 3900X, 32GB G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200, ASUS Prime X570-P, EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 12GB, Corsair Obsidian 750D, Corsair RM1000 (yellow label)

My build: Mira - Ryzen 7 3700X, 32GB EVGA DDR4-3200, ASUS Prime X470-PRO, EVGA RTX 3070 XC3, beQuiet Dark Base 900, EVGA 1000 G6

Yep just connect both monitors to your graphics card. That's why your graphics card has more then one output on it.

When in Windows, the monitor set as main (has all your desktop icons) will be the ones that games run on by default, the second monitor will run in the background.
