The controversial isometric shooter Hatred popped up on Steam's store page, revealing the system specs required to run the game. While the minimum specs are nothing special, the recommended requirements (AMD FX-8350 or better, AMD Radeon R9 290X or better) stand out, especially considering the game's genre.

 

 

 

MINIMUM:

  • OS: Windows® 7 (SP1) / Windows® 8 / Windows® 8.1 / (64-bit only)
  • Processor: 2.6 GHz Intel® Core™ i5-750 or 3.2 GHz AMD Phenom™ II X4 955
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD5850 (1 GB VRAM)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 8 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX-compatible 

    RECOMENDED

  • OS: Windows® 7 (SP1) / Windows® 8 / Windows® 8.1 / (64-bit only)
  • Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel® Core™ i5-2400S or 4.0 GHz AMD FX-8350 or better
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon R9 290X or better (2 GB VRAM)
  • Hard Drive: 8 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX-compatible

Somebody want to explain why a top down shooter that looks like ass requires a 680 or 290x?

 

Also, since when was AMDs 680 competitor a 290x?!
