I got 5 ASIC USB miner in a hub connected to RPI running minepeon.

My goal was never to make money or have any sort of profit. Its all for fun.

But its not fun when they can't produce anything at all. They rearly get a cent... I have tried different pools and solo mining with the same results (solo mining I got nothing).

So my question is; Are ASIC usb miners useless? And in that case, what other uses/other coins can I mine?

They aren't very powerful, if they're running off USB, you'd need something like an antminer S3 or a Spoondoolies-tech SP20 to make any kind of money IIRC

Specs: CPU: AMD FX 6300 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A DS3P RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 1866MHz GPU: MSI R9 270 OC edition Case: Sharkoon VS3-S SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: 1TB Caviar Blue PSU: Corsair CX500W

Barnacles made a good video about this and yes I think those USB miners are straight up BS the only one who earns money with those are the people who produce them

CPU: Xeon 1230v3 - GPU: GTX 770  - SSD: 120GB 840 Evo - HDD: WD Blue 1TB - RAM: Ballistix 8GB - Case: CM N400 - PSU: CX 600M - Cooling: Cooler Master 212 Evo

So nothing. Just throw them away? Are there no alternative use for them? :(

Well, I'd suggest trying to sell them if you've made no money at all with them

I mean you could try it out and let them run for a year they won't cost that much and it would be interresting to see how much you got :D
