Hey all,

Recently I've been experiencing some freezing on my desktop pc.

Windows never gets a chance to BSOD (or maybe it does after a while but I've been hard reseting it), instead the audio (if any is playing) will distort/loop and making a buzzing sound and the computer freezes for a second or 2 then returns to normal for a second or 2 then permanently freezes again. This occurs whilst doing nothing (on desktop), while watching youtube  and in games. I think leaving it to BSOD shows DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION.

Now I'm really confused because the system had been working fine even after a new GTX 970 I installed.

I tried reseating the memory and still same, I did this because I had moved the memory around a bit when I was testing some other RAM I got.

The GPU had not been taken out of the PCIe socket since install.

Nothing is overclocked.

I'm really lost for clues, any ideas guys?

I really hope I didn't break anything to cause this.

Thanks in advance,

Harry
