new power supply

i m looking for new power supply but i dont have a idea how much i need watts for my build and which brand is best 

this is my rig :intel 3570k, msi z77a-gd65 mobo gainward gtx 670 current power supply xfx core edition 550w iam going to over clock  when i get new cooler so i think that 550w power supply is too small thanks for answers and tips :)

There's really no need to upgrade, the 550w unit would be fine. Even with a fair overclock, you are probably looking at an average power consumption of ~400w at most under load.

but in nvidias home page they say that i will need at least 500w psu

The recommendation is based on system of various configuration at full load and PSUs of various of qualities. The 500w is a general recommendation to to make sure it fits most situations.

 

The XFX Core Edition 550w unit would be plenty for your system.

get a g45 mobo instead of the gd65 the only diffrence is the gd65 have more pci slots and more sata ports

i did get that gd65 for lower price than gd45
