I'm attending a course on beginners android app making at my school and we have to make some kind of app as a product.

It has to be somewhat original but I have no idea what to make.

Any suggestions?

Since it's beginner, there's not much originality you can put tbh. Of course there's that obligatory calculator that you can make. I would go for a pictures viewer, or a music player. If you're a trekkie (like me :P), I would consider a Stardate calculator to convert between our calendar and the stardate.
