Disk Usage High

My Windows 8 Laptop have a high percentage of disk usage

i read somewhere that adjusting the virtual memory can fix the high disk usage

 

will adjusting the virtual memory settings to 8192 and the max is 16384 reduce he high disk usage? (my RAM is 8gb)

 

and what is the downside of doing this ? 

 

note : when i open the virtual memory setting , its already set to custom size , and the initial and max is 4000 something i dont

Since you already have 8GB you don't need a large paging file.

set the VR to 10k/10k........... disc usage.......... when is the last time you checked for malware/virus'?  also, did you look to see what programs are using space?

Oh the pic that i posted is paging file ?

what number should i reduce it to ? 

the recommended from windows or ?

 

right now my disk is 0% , don't know what fix it

only get to 50% when turning on pc for the first time , the one that use the disk the most is the asus live update

so, did you see what was running and using disc space or run some scans in safe mode?
