Issue with digital equalizer

Hey, so this is really random but I don't really know how to solve this.

So I'm using my headset via optical output (S/PDIF) and I recently noticed that when I go to the equalizer settings on the "Optimizations" tab and change the configuration, the audio sound perfect but when I close it and click "Apply", the audio loses a lot of quality. The EQ stays on but the audio is "less sharp".

I hope someone knows anything about this issue, it's getting really annoying.

Figured it out, it makes no sense but works. If I dont click "Apply" and just close the windows, it doesn't mess up the EQ.

Thanks anyway :D
