Cooling HazMat Case

Scenerio: I have employees that work in a Waste Water Treatment Plant and need a desktop to view cameras.

The Problem: The air in the plant is extremely moist and corrosive. We have had to replace the desktop every 6 months or so.

What I Have: I bought a HazMat case for it that is air tight. It has a place for cabling and a removable panel for a fan, but dust is not my problem my issue is moisture.

Issue: Need to cool the PC and keep the moisture out. Is there any internal cooling solution water or air for an air tight case?

welcome to the Linus Tech Tips forums!

water cooling will do you no good as the radiator (internally) will just recycle the

heated air over and over, thus device temperatures will increase over and over.

water cooling needs cooler ambient temperatures to function properly. with

that said, you can externally mount the radiator and remotely attach the cooling

ipes using pass-through fittings. otherwise in an air-tight environment not system

will survive.

I dont have any ideas... my only guess would be to put a rad on the outside and water cool it.. and replace the rads instead of the pc
