Help with a build

GhostWindGamer
Go to solution Solved by brob,

So guys I need help with a build for roughly $1,000 Australian I have a general idea of the parts but suggestions are appreciated budget like I said is $1,000ish can go over a bit. This is what I have already http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/cB4PGX

Cheers guys :D

Should mention I already have the 270 and the i5 is a must

A couple of minor suggestions. An H97 motherboard since the cpu will not overclock. A different memory kit that has slightly better timings and color to match the motherboard. Unless the system will live in a room that tends to get quite hot, the stock cooler will do a good job. A decent 240GB ssd. The larger the ssd the better, IMO.

For just a couple bucks more I added the R9 285. (I forgot about that one, thanks Bubblewhale)

Why do you have a liquid cooler on that though? You won't be overclocking, so the air cooler in the box will be enough :)

Do you already have all of that stuff in your possession? Or just the 270.

It's a little bit more but you now get close to double the GPU power, much higher graphics capabilities, and if you want to bump to 1440p you can.

The stock fan would be fine since you won't be overclocking. Since you already have a 270 i recommend pouring all of your remaining money on a better SSD.

It's nice but I can't spend that much

that's pretty much a good build if you ask me. You can also buy a better i5 if you're willing get a bit more of dem Hertz. But don't go for a K series overclocking isn't really necessary.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
