Does it matter which colour coded input I connect my speaker/headset into?

My speaker uses the green coded input on my motherboard but I assume that my headset also requires the green coded input as the connector is labelled green.

Does it matter? Of course it matters. Unless your onboard can 'copy' stereo channels to all color jacks.

Most people use 'line out' for active speakers, 'front channels' for headphone/set. Or use a splitter cable.

Go to 2-14

It says green for speakers and headphone

Yes, green is the universal code for front channels or stereo channels. Problem is you wanna plug 2 plugs to 1 jack (assuming you don't want to use the front panel jack), right?

Yeah, thats the ideal solution as I assume the best sound quality comes directly from the motherboard
