I'm going to be build a new computer here in the next month I'm looking to find the best CPU for Audio Engineering/Video Editing at the moment that is around the $200 Mark or less.

I though AMD because you can get More cores at higher frequency's but im just not 100% sure because i know Intel chips seem to be faster in some conditions.

If you guys could share your thoughts, that would be great. Thanks

That build you have in your signature is fine for that.

$210 that okay, this is probably the best, however your signature build is fine unless this is a second one :P

Tried to keep it simple, but the PC won't be for my self. I'm just picking parts and building this for a friend. (I'm just nor familiar with audio stuff)

AMD cores are not as poweful as Intel cores.

I'd recommend the I5 4460 and H81 or Z97 motherboard.

(The FX 8350 8 Core) is not as powerful as the i5 4460 in most applications and almost all games. @Rasmuff

Thanks for the info!
