Steam Bootstrapper Crashing

Hi, I was trying to play gmod today and at random points during playtime, the steam bootstrapper would crash. Sometimes the Steam Client wouldn't even start and it required me to end the steam.exe process through the task manager just to restart it. There was no crash report either, it would just stop. The weirdest part though is that it was absolutely fine today while playing CS:GO today so I am very confused.
