Cpu temp question.

That's the number you want to focus on. I have a 3570K and its T-case temp is 67.4 degrees C. I've gone past that with another cooler for long periods of time - nothing happened to the chip. TJ Max is the temperature that the actual die can take before melting.

So I see people go over the Tcase alot with 3570k which Tcase is 67. So my question is how important is the intel Tcase temp and what is the point.

T-case temp isn't important. The core temps are much more important as that's where all the work is occurring. T-case is the surface of the CPU(heat spreader).

So pretty much ignore it, So an i5 650 would be fine up to what temps?

Can you install CoreTemp? On paper, that should give you your answer. Though that doesn't always occur.

I have it installed and my temps reach 75
